Travelling through the Middle Ages
The 36 km route winds through the natural beauty of the countryside and comes to the Abbey of Staffarda.
The moderately challenging trail is flat, on tarmac roads (80%) and track (20%), and suitable for cyclists. It winds through the natural beauty of the countryside surrounding Saluzzo, reaching the Abbey of Staffarda, the most ancient monument in the Saluzzo area, where you will find a rest area with bar and restaurant.
Staffarda is one the most important medieval monuments in Piedmont. The majestic simplicity of its architecture is combined with Cistercian aesthetics, eschewing any trace of opulence.
