In Grana Valley the evolution of cinema is told.
The idea of installing a small museum dedicated to the history of cinema in an alpine valley might seem surprising. However, it should not if one’s entire life is characterised by an unconditional passion for this technique of artistic expression.
In six rooms, the museum recalls the fantastic history of the cinematograph from the first optic instruments to the present technology. On display are magic lanterns, zoetropes, stereoscopes, shadow theatres, vintage bills and magazines, cameras, projectors, photographs, and a special library with over 600 volumes.
The museum also contains a collection of puppet theatres and comics.
Over the years, the museum has actively taken root in the territory through producing several medium-length films about local history.
