In Argerentera on the trail of smugglers
In the village of Ferrere, in the Argentera region in the upper Stura Valley, the “casa del contrabbandiere” – house of the smuggler – is a museum tour about the ancient and traditional practice of smuggling which was a typical activity practiced by the inhabitants of the upper Valley.
The dwelling has been restructured to how it used to be showing the daily life of those days: a kitchen, small bedroom and the “soulier”, which is a wide space with a wooden gallery. In each room, the display of objects and utensils allows the visitor to rediscover ancient traditions and activities.
