Museum of Hemp and Women’s crafts in Prazzo

The recycling of a materialist culture

Fremos travai e tero (women work and land).  Display of equipment and artefacts showing a talented and industrious culture.

The museum’s mission is to recover evidence of a material culture which profoundly marked the valley’s development, enhancing its historic role and the manufacture of hemp.  It also stresses the fundamental role of the woman as mainstay around whom the work cycle of the factory revolved.  There is an educational tour around the museum with explanatory boards and an archive of film footage, interviews and research and a multimedia room.
